Snowy owls hunt mostly at dawn and twilight but will do so at any time of day if circumstances allow, chiefly in the summer and when there are hatchlings to feed. Minor prey are believed whole with the incomprehensible parts, bones, teeth, fur and downs being shaped as “owl bits” 18-24 hours later. These bits are often vomited at regular roosts and dozens of them can build up on the crushed, this allows ecologists to see precisely what has been bothered and in what amounts. Very new chicks are fed prey with the frames and fur detached, larger prey are torn into masses before existence eaten. Snowy owls similar many marauders are freebooters and will take any sensibly sized bird, creature or fish they are able to catch. Lemmings and voles brand up the majority of the diet of most snow-white owls due to their being shared and comparatively abundant in the owls variety.
