The unique and wonderful taste of this coffee is truly a treat. Lately, we had the incredible chance to cup Kopi Luwak coffee. Contempt our doubts, we were wafted away! The cup was lovely with a super silky body and robust, brown and cherry notes. Grown in the attractive Antigua Valley, the Guatemala Bella Carmona is our first pick. This pleasant blend of Bourbon coffee cerise perfectly summarizes the Zelaya’s people’s decades of coffee farming involvement. The cupping notes are chocolate, caramel, nuts, orange citrus fruit, and blackberry with a strong body and reasonable sweetness.
Next is the ever-popular Jamaica Blue Crag coffee. Refined by a team of farmers absorbed on sustainability and excellence, this Jamaican Blue Crag coffee has the setting on its side with high height rising regions, ample rainfall, and rich, volcanic soil. This coffee is intensely aromatic with notes of chocolate, blackberry bush, and currant, balancing with a smooth, soft body and mild sharpness.
While none of these coffees are a Kopi Luwak, they are high excellence with a chocolate aroma and fundamental sweetness – features of a Kopi Luwak. They’re also much calmer to get your hands on and very delicious. You’ll certainly have to give them a try!
