The blobfish a species that lives at great nadirs and is rarely seen but look like a maritime Jabba the Hut, has been chosen the world’s ugliest animal. The campaign, run by the Ugly Animal Protection Civilization to decide its new symbol, was set up to raise consciousness for rare and aesthetically dared animals. With 200 species flattering extinct every day, it says ugly faunae need more help since of their less than “pinup” arrival. Simon Watt, the society’s leader, said: “We’ve needed an ugly face for rare animals for a long time and I’ve been astonished by the public’s response. For too long the cute and fleecy animals have taken the attention, but now the blobfish will be a voice for the mangers who always get elapsed.
